INTRODUCING OUR COURSE
Nestled among the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, once you have played this magnificent course, like many other golfers, you will want to return year after year.
The Club moved from Gargrave to its current site in 1896 and has matured over the years into one of the most picturesque golf courses in the North of England.
Recent years have seen some of the biggest changes to the course in its history with a revised layout launched in August 2018, including three newly designed and professionally constructed holes. Additionally, many other changes have only served to enhance the beauty and the challenge of this Yorkshire Dales course.

Pro’s Tip:
Dogleg left so play the hole straight to the right of the fairway bunker leaving you a mid iron into a bunker guarded green. “Risk and reward” drive left of the bunker over trees leaves a short pitch shot to the green.

Pro’s Tip:
A straight drive to the corner of this right handed dogleg leaves you a long iron or fairway wood approach to an elevated Mackenzie green. “Risk and reward” drive over the right hand dogleg leaves a shorter iron approach.

Pro’s Tip:
With the fairway sloping slightly from left to right a good drive left of centre will leave a short to mid iron into the green. Everything tends to favour the left side of this green on the approach as most shots tend to bounce right on this small green.

Pro’s Tip:
This fairway slopes from left to right so a good drive left of centre leaves a mid iron approach. This should leave an approach from the left side of the fairway which is the best angle for this well guarded green.

Pro’s Tip:
From the elevated championship tees this final tee shot over the dam needs to be left of centre. This should leave a mid to short iron approach to the Mackenzie green with a bunker front right catching any mishit shots. Yellow or red tees at 256 and 247yds respectively make a significant difference to this hole with a “risk reward” decision to go for the green off the tee.
