Skipton Golf Club is currently open to new membership applications and the required forms can be obtained from our Business Manager. All new applications will be handled quickly. Alternatively, click here to download an application form.

We are now able to offer Membership at Skipton Golf Club without the necessity of paying a one-off Joining Fee.

Should you have any questions with regards to membership, please contact our Business Manager on 01756 795657.

Flexible Membership

Are you time, work or family constrained and play golf just 10-20 times a year? Do you like to play the occasional 9 holes in the summer after work or 18 holes on a weekend but cannot justify the costs of a joining fee and full membership? Our new offer is for you!

Flexible membership means you will no longer be restricted to paying an occasional green fee but have access to the full range of facilities and experiences available to members of Skipton Golf Club, such as a fully maintained CONGU handicap, entry into competitions (exemptions apply), and full use of the clubhouse and other facilities.

The number of rounds that can be played with Flexible membership depends on when they are played. For example, the 300 credits gives 15 rounds of golf when playing in the summer. Playing in the winter results in the opportunity to play 27 rounds. Additional credits are available.

Concessionary Membership

Skipton Golf Club is a Community Amateur Sports Club, and as such is dedicated to providing facilities for all. Maintenance of a high quality golf course is an expensive business, and members have to fund it. However, to keep the facilities within the reach of as wide a section of the public as possible, concessionary membership is available at an annual cost of £456.

Concessionary membership is open to anybody who meet the following criteria based on Craven District Council’s Concession Card (which offers reduced rates for sports activities at Craven Swimming Pool and Fitness Centre for those who qualify). The offer only applies to all who are in receipt of:

  1. Job seekers allowance
  2. Income support
  3. Housing benefit
  4. Disability living allowance
  5. Carers allowance
  6. Incapacity benefit

Application is to the Skipton Golf Club Ltd. board (as are all membership applications) and must be supported by a notification letter advising the applicant of eligibility for the benefit in question. The concessionary rate must be applied for every year to ensure continuing eligibility.

The club will consider applications for concessionary membership from people with low or modest means who do not meet the criteria based on Craven District Council’s Concession Card who can satisfactorily demonstrate that they are unable to pay the full membership fee.
