Welcome to Skipton Golf Club
Skipton Golf Club, one of the most scenic and tranquil golf courses in the North of England, was founded in 1893 on the outskirts of this popular and historic market town, nestled among the stunningly beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Golfers are captivated by the magnificent views of Sharphaw, Crookrise and Embsay Crag, while Eller Beck provides a superb backdrop as it meanders through the back nine holes, three of which provide Skipton with its very own “Amen Corner.”
Our 125th Anniversary in 2018 coincided with the launch of a revised layout, which includes three new, professionally designed and built holes, enhancing what was already a magnificent and challenging course.
Additional improvements include new tee beds, bunkers and, on the 15th hole, a green raised by five feet. It is a truly enjoyable challenge for both members and visitors alike and these forward-looking changes only serve to enhance the excellent reputation enjoyed by the Club.
Everyone is guaranteed a warm and friendly reception from each and every member of our staff. We are renowned for our hospitality and the welcome is typified by our PGA Professional, Peter Robinson, who makes a lasting impression on anybody who comes into contact with him.
Not only are we offering a revised course, but you can now also enjoy a comfortable, spacious and fully-refurbished clubhouse, which adds to the delight of home-cooked food offered by our chef Andrew Noller and his team. Not only great food, but also a restaurant that provides stunning long distance views over the Yorkshire countryside.
These are very exciting times in the history of Skipton Golf Club and for those of you considering membership there are a number of categories and value-added packages available. For those considering a visit to the course, we will happily tailor a package to meet your specific requirements.
We are confident that having experienced everything that we offer here at Skipton Golf Club, you will want to return again and again…. and again!
